September Cartoon: Handwashing Frequency
Cartoon of food workers being introduced to a hand hygiene specialist, who has gloves, food thermometers, water, and a back scratcher

When you're working with food, you need to wash your hands often. Bacteria and viruses are too small for us to see, so we can't know when they are on our hands. All we can do is wash our hands when we're most likely to have encountered them. For example, you should wash your hands after using the bathroom and after touching raw meat, your skin or hair, and high-touch surfaces like doorknobs.
